HOW TO GET THERE & LOCATION
How do I get to the MAIN TOWER?

The MAIN TOWER is located in the heart of Frankfurt's city center, can hardly be overlooked and is easily accessible by all means of transport.
From Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Airport...
Take the S8 in the direction of Hanau or the S9 in the direction of Offenbach Ost to Taunusanlage station. From there you can walk to the MAIN TOWER in about ten minutes.
From Frankfurt main station or from the Rhein-Main area...
The best way to reach the MAIN TOWER is by RMV S-Bahn. From the main station, it's just one stop: take the S-Bahn lines S1 to S9 (towards the city center) to Taunusanlage station. From there, it is only a ten-minute walk to the entrance of the MAIN TOWER. You can find the current timetable on the RMV website.
By car...
Take the A66, exit Miquelallee, or from the A5 in the direction of Westkreuz onto the A648. Here you drive in the direction of Frankfurt - Innenstadt - Messe and follow the signs in the direction of Hauptbahnhof. Then turn left into Mainzer Landstraße and then right into Junghofstraße.
Where can I park to visit the MAIN TOWER?
The MAIN TOWER parking garage is not open to the public.
However, you will find several other parking garages in the immediate vicinity.
The Junghofstraße parking garage, for example, is just around the corner.
It is best to follow the current information on the parking guidance system.
BOOKING & TICKETS
How do I buy tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform?
Adult tickets can be purchased either online via our online shop* or directly on site at the box office. You can also purchase all other tickets at the box office.
The tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform are not tied to a specific date and can be redeemed at any time.
You can find the entrance fees here.
*There is a one-off service charge of EUR 0.50 for every ticket purchase in the online store.
How can I pay for a MAIN TOWER viewing platform ticket?
You can pay for tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform:
Online: Girocard, Creditcard, PayPal
On the spot: Cash, Girocard, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, VPay
Can we as a group pay for our group tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform on account?
By prior arrangement and subject to certain conditions, groups have the option of paying by invoice and after the visit. Please contact the reception team or send the completed voucher (for invoicing) in advance to Voucher (for invoicing) to plattform@bv-maintower.de

Are the tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform transferable?
Yes, tickets for the viewing platform in the MAIN TOWER are transferable and not name-bound.
What do I do if I don't receive the ticket confirmation?
Please check your spam folder first if you have not received confirmation of your online ticket purchase. If you cannot find an e-mail there either, please contact us at onlineshop@bv-maintower.de.
Can online tickets for the MAIN TOWER viewing platform be canceled?
Yes, tickets can be canceled within the cancellation period in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions. Please send a message to onlineshop@bv-maintower.de
Is there a ticket price reduction for children, severely disabled people, a student discount or a discount for senior citizens?
Children under the age of 6 may enter the MAIN TOWER free of charge if accompanied by an adult supervisor. Children and schoolchildren under the age of 16 receive a discounted ticket and must be accompanied by an adult supervisor.
Persons who present a disabled person's ID card marked “B” may enter the MAIN TOWER free of charge and take one accompanying person with them.
Persons with a severely disabled person's pass without a “B” are entitled to the reduced rate - their accompanying person(s) pay the regular rate applicable to them.
On presentation of a valid student or pensioner ID card (national/international), we can offer you discounted tickets at the box office on the day.
Discounted tickets are not offered online.

VISITING & OPENING HOURS
When is the MAIN TOWER viewing platform open?
Opening hours vary depending on the season (summer/winter). You can find the current opening hours here.
Is the MAIN TOWER viewing platform also open on public holidays?
Is the MAIN TOWER viewing platform also open in bad weather conditions?

In strong winds or rain conditions, the MAIN TOWER viewing platform may remain closed for safety reasons.
However, if weather conditions permit, you can visit the closed area of the platform on the 55th floor. For this purpose tickets with discount will be available at the box office.
Is there a time limit for the stay on the MAIN TOWER viewing platform?
Yes, a visit to the MAIN TOWER viewing platform currently takes 45 minutes (from the time of the security check).
Are dogs allowed on the MAIN TOWER viewing platform?
It is not permitted to bring dogs, with the exception of
trained assistance dogs.
Are wedding proposals possible on the MAIN TOWER viewing platform?
Yes, during regular opening hours. Exclusive use of the MAIN TOWER viewing platform is not possible. Accessories, decorations, flowers, glasses, bottles and music are not permitted.
Is there a restaurant in the MAIN TOWER?
Yes, the MAIN TOWER RESTAURANT & LOUNGE is located on the 53rd floor. Here you can enjoy fine cuisine and an impressive view.

Is there a gym in the MAIN TOWER?

ACCESSIBILITY & HEALTH
Is the MAIN TOWER barrier-free/accessible?
Partially. Due to the structural conditions in the MAIN TOWER, access for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities who cannot move around without assistance or aids is only possible with an accompanying person.
The elevator takes you to the closed platform area on the 55th floor and the restricted outdoor area there; the open platform on the 56th floor can only be reached by stairs.
People with limited mobility whose severely disabled pass shows a “B” can take an accompanying person with them to the MAIN TOWER free of charge.
In the event of an evacuation, the accompanying person is required to take the person with reduced mobility to the secure area in front of the fire department elevator together with the security staff. This arrangement was made in cooperation with the local security authorities and serves to ensure the safety of visitors in the event of an evacuation.
If you are traveling alone and have limited mobility, we will gladly try to provide an accompanying person on site. If you are interested, please get in touch with us via the contact form before your visit. We recommend regular weekdays for your visit. On busy weekends and public holidays, we can only offer our service to a very limited extent.

What do I need to bear in mind when visiting the MAIN TOWER viewing platform with a pacemaker?
Please ask for a clearance certificate on site - this is required for the metal detector and the high-speed elevator.

Can we visit the MAIN TOWER viewing platform as a group?
Yes, groups are very welcome on the MAIN TOWER viewing platform. Pre-booking with the reception team is recommended:

Yes, children are very welcome in the MAIN TOWER.

Can a baby carriage be taken onto the viewing platform of the MAIN TOWER?
Please note that baby carriages cannot be taken onto the MAIN TOWER viewing platform and must remain on the first floor.

ART & CULTURE
Is there art in the MAIN TOWER?
Yes, Helaba offers occasional art tours on request from Monday to Friday between 17:00 and 19:00. Registration via the “Art tour request” form is required.
The video installation “The World of Appearances” by the American artist Bill Viola and the wall mosaic “Frankfurter Treppe” by Stephan Huber are located in the publicly accessible foyer.
SAFETY & TAKEAWAY
Are we allowed to take photos in the MAIN TOWER and on the viewing platform?
Private photos and videos are permitted. For commercial recordings, a prior request via the appropriate form is required.
Is it permitted to visit the MAIN TOWER viewing platform with suitcases, backpacks or bottles?
No. For safety reasons, no large items of luggage, rucksacks, bags, children's goods, empty or full bottles may be taken, onto the MAIN TOWER viewing platform.
