Anyone wishing to experience modern art in a special ambience will find two exceptional works of art in the main lobby of the MAIN TOWER. Entrance is free.

Stephan Huber

Frankfurt´s Steps/20th Century
You will find yourself in the best of company in the main lobby of the MAIN TOWER: the Munich artist Stephan Huber (*1952) has immortalized 56 famous personalities who lived and worked in Frankfurt in his "Frankfurt's Steps/20th Century." The wall mosaic, which covers a total of almost 100 square meters and consists of 1.9 million Murano glass stones, was conceived especially for the MAIN TOWER and shows, among others, Max Beckmann, Anne Frank, Theodor W. Adorno, Bernhard Grzimek, Siegfried Unseld and Marcel Reich-Ranicki.

Bill Viola

The World of Appearances
"The World of Appearances" is a video/sound installation by the multimedia artist Bill Viola (*1951). Video sequences whose images reflect each other and overlap on a glass pane mounted at an angle of 45 degrees are projected onto two huge screens. As a result, the work plays with the interaction between reality and perception - and the observer becomes part of a staged production.

You can find more information on the artists at the web sites of Stephan Huber and Bill Viola.
